History

The inception of Grey Goose Vodka can be traced back to the vision of Sidney Frank, who sought to create a vodka that exemplified refinement and elegance. Inspired by the rich heritage of French craftsmanship, Frank envisioned a vodka that would stand out in a crowded market. In pursuit of this ideal, he collaborated with François Thibault, a Maître de Chai (cellar master) from the Cognac region, to harness the traditional methods of distillation. Since its debut, Grey Goose has garnered numerous accolades and is recognized as one of the finest vodkas available, further solidifying its position as a premium spirit; it distinguished itself on the global stage by being awarded titles such as « Best Vodka » at various spirits competitions.

Fabrication Process

The crafting of Grey Goose begins with the selection of the finest ingredients: the wheat is sourced from the Picardy region of France, where it is grown in the rich, fertile soils. This single-origin French wheat is specifically chosen for its quality, and it undergoes a meticulous distillation process. The vodka is distilled once, a distinctive approach that captures the essence of the wheat, retaining its natural flavors while creating a remarkably smooth spirit. Following distillation, Grey Goose undergoes a rigorous filtration process, using limestone filtration to ensure that only the purest form of vodka is produced. Finally, the vodka is blended with natural spring water from the Gensac region, which is known for its quality, completing the journey from farm to bottle in a process that respects the traditional techniques of French artisanship.
